People's power or people in power

BIsmillah....

Last week, a day filled with joy to Egypt citizens after HOsni Mubarak resigned from his post as the president of egypt. The 30 year regime collapsed after people of Egypt get together in the demonstration to place pressure to the presidnet to step down.

I'm praised Allah who have granted this historical moment to Egypt and other muslim countries that have been oppressed for so long.

In contrast, I'm quite skeptical whether it's people power who changed Egypt or People in power. History recorded, in The 80's when people in syria protest against their government, all the army was being mobilised to stop these protesters but the West did'nt say anything about this. Now let us see in the 90's the people of Algeria protested against the Algerian government, after the government who has lost to an islamic Political party annulled the election result. This government use military action to stop this demonstration but why during this time the America didn't say anything about people power and let them change the government through democracy.

We never heard the slogan that always been chanting during Egypt revolution 2011 in the 80's or 90's. That's why we can see the west so supportive to the revolution by giving full coverage on the situation and order Egypt not to use military forces to stop the demonstration.

This just my 2 cents. I just hope there are come changes to Egypt after this. Im expecting Ikhwanul muslimin will win the election. But what pressure will the america and others put is still unknown. I pray to Allaah to help us in anything.
