It's good to Know

Last week marked one of the best experience in my life. To work, sit and talk with a scholar whom I think very experience in his field (Dakwah and Hadith), really made my day. He, shaikh Hussain yee at first thought to be fussy but Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy for us to deal with him and he's very sporting as i can say. AMYN, SI,HW's experiences with previous speaker which is so demanding, somewhat affected us and made us be aware that we didnt want that situation happens again for Sh Hussain Yee. Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy.

I still remember,I was the person who introduce the Idea of bringing him to Brisbane after being told by abu jaabir he's coming to melbourne for a conference. The committee at first very reluctant considering the cost involved. The plan actually being cancelled but I'm being to stubborn keep asking for the plan to continue. Alhamdulillah after several hurdles by Allah's help we manage to bring him here.

He's so humble and very careful when he speaks. I still remember when i try to introduce myself,it felt a bit awkward, but later on after several meeting with him Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy for me to speak, ask and share some of his opinion.
We did talked a lot about development of dakwah and tarbiyah in Malaysia and we did discuss in length about islam Kaumiyyah.Alhamdulillah many inputs I get from him but i'm just to lazy to write them here.

He always refers me as 'malaysian representative'in AMYN and sometimes I just laughed when he tells people about it. He advice me to stay firm in this deen and keep company with people of eeman and he did invite me to Al-khadeem When i'm graduating.

This week I received two offers, one is for my career and another one is for my life. With the coming islamic tv program which inshaAllah will be launched this coming hajj, there is a vacancy as Marketing & Production Manager. I got nothing to loose if im choosing this job over biotechnology. Same salary,still in my area of interest and what make me thinking more about the job, i can gain both dunia and akhirah whereaas in biotechnology sector i only can gain dunia + i need to go to networking event which may involve something haram. sh. Hussain advice me if i want to work choose a work that can get you both dunia and akhirah.So I will do my istikharah and give the board my answer tomorrow inshaAllah.

For the second offer, The imam of a mosque (name is not mentioned for privacy purposes)asked me a killer question last Tuesday.


"Brother, how many children you have?"
"Cannot have one,still single" we laughed.
"How old are you now?"
"22 turning 23 this year inshaAllah".......paused for 30 second. The imam is busy preparing dinner for me.
"You know what bro, I have a sister to get married to...she's about the same age as you i guess"
I stunted.

"Ok...but you know to get married to have to able to provide for your family. For my current situation, i think it gonna be hard" i replied. Now the Imam coming to me with my dinner and sit in front of me.

"But she's previously married with one kid, and she's here in this house, might heard what we are talking". I just laughed after that

That line made me quite for several seconds before we moved to another topic. I asked shaikh aslam about his opinion for this issue because seems that he knows the imam's family very well.And straight after i asked syaikh aslam, dr maza put his previous fatwa "between a virgin or widow". Im not thinking about this as much as before. Alas i gained something important. If i want to marry a girl (whether a virgin or a widow),i'll have to make sure the marriage is at least not hurting the da'wah.if the marriage is helping the dakwah and tarbiyah, that's a bonus from Allah.Second lesson i learned, What ever action you do stick to the rope of Allah even in the hardest condition.After heard from syaikh, it shocking people can do haram to gain this dunia. May Allah keep us away from this.I do believe a happy marriage is by following the quran and sunnah.the most baraqah in the women when the mahr is affordable. and of course no wedding-style engagement party.

When hikmahway planning to launch Fiq of Love aye.I'm totally waiting for it.
